Philippines To Host Miss Asia Pacific International 2017

PHILIPPINES – The Miss Asia Pacific International 2017, mother of all pageants, is back and it will be held in Manila on November 28.

40 women and aspiring beauty queens from around the world are reported to be competing with each other vying for the title.

Miss Asia Pacific International pageant President Jacqueline Tan stated that the contestants are expected to arrive in the country starting November 10 and will later be brought and be introduced to the members of the press.

According to a report from the Manila Bulletin, this pageant is dubbed as the mother of all beauty pageants in Asia and is returning after a decade of an unexpected break.

Tan said, “With its advocacy to foster love and appreciation of cultural, physical, and spiritual diversities, Miss Asia Pacific International is set to inspire everyone to be comfortable in their own skin and to believe that their unique and distinct traits are key qualities that make them beautiful.”

As per the source, Netherlands’ Tessa Le Conge is the one currently holding the particular title.

Astrid de Vera, 22 years old, is the lady to represent the country.

She is a graduate of the University of the Philippines in Cebu with the course Mass Communications.

The country’s delegate confessed that she was just handpicked by her hometown to join Mutya ng Pilipinas and only had a week to prepare.

“Talk about being an instant beauty queen. I had a simple life before entering the world of pageantry. I worked in marketing for a real estate and leasing company and did ramp modeling on my free days,” she added.

She is currently working as a marketing executive in a real estate company and has been doing modeling job on the side for six years under Models Association of Cebu.
